Wyoming Retirement System
UX research, process analysis, and UX design for a Catapult/Quisitive client
Project Overview
Wyoming Retirement System was a recurring client for many years. I have performed in-depth research and analysis for both internal employee processes and public-facing portals. My services for them ran the gamut from visual and interaction design, user research, UX and traffic analysis, and process analysis to convert paper and Excel procedures into a digital format.
The examples below are just a few of the documents that I created for this client. I'd be happy to show you any of these projects in more detail.
Results
- Multiple systems updated and processes evolved beyond spreadsheets and paper
- Client kept asking for my services for years.
- Received a LinkedIn endorsement from the WRS IT team lead
Here is an example of one of many design mockups for the RAIN CMS. This design is created from user interviews, observation testing, and traffic analysis. The overall interaction design and processes have been streamlined to support the long term maintenance of the participants. It is a desktop-only webapp, so I got to design some fun little custom icons for it as well.
This is another mockup for the RAIN system showing the addition of a step-by-step procedure for managing beneficiaries. Before my engagement, this was one long, agonizing form.
About a year and a half later, I was asked back to perform a similar analysis and redesign for the participant portal that interacts with the RAIN CMS. This one is more minimalist and grid-designed to facilitate making it responsive in the future.
Then I was invited back for a similar treatment for the employer portal that manages participant contributions.
Here's a snippet of my UX Research findings and recommendations for RAIN. We performed remote interviews and observations of both WRS employees and a sample of users for this project.
